Wow! - over $6.2M raised, show how much people REALLY want a good PC Space sim (and how badly Gazillion handled the whole JGE thing )

Just out of interest did anyone else that hasn't already mentioned here end up pledging? - might be enough of us to get a FS guild up and running in the beta

Amazing that we might have a choice of 'which' space sim to actually play - hmm Elite of SC, easy 'BOTH'

PS - Static, thanks for the WB I do 'lurk' here from time to time, but dont get chance to game much these days - when either of these games come out I'll have to upgrade my PC to 'gaming' spec and commandeer one of the kids bedrooms as a 'study'

See you all in space 1 day <dreams>

I somehow trust Chris Roberts more with getting it off the ground and actually selling a relevant number of copies. I'd love to see both of these succeed but it really needs to pay off or it's gonna be another ten years w/o big-scale space sims...

I'll post it here rather then make a new thred just for this.

I've "reserved" (in as far as it can be reserved at the moment) the FS name in the main site before someone beats us to it.

Feel free to say hello and join the group

Well - Looks like Elite Dangerous has passed its Kickstarter goal with a day or so to spare

I'm pledged to both so will keep on following with keen interest although I'm guessing I will be active in SC before Elite as we get Beta access as backers with SC where as Frontier wanted to charge a couple of hundred pounds for the privalidge!! (no chance in hell i'm paying that so all Mr Brabham got was a measly £20 give me the game when done contribution!)
